About the Role

As a Senior Staff AI Engineer at Beam, you'll play a key part in shaping the next generation of AI agents. You'll innovate new concepts that empower agents to interpret abstract goals, execute tasks with precision, and learn from every interaction.

Responsibilities

This role will require technical expertise to build our software solutions and ensure smooth and efficient functioning of our platform. Your key responsibilities will entail the following:

• Innovate Agent Abilities: Design, test, and extend Beam Agents with new capabilities. Conduct large-scale experiments to iteratively enhance performance on various benchmarks.

• End-to-End Solution Development: Translate customer challenges into research concepts, develop prototypes, and shepherd them into full production deployments.

• Pioneer Research Integration: Stay at the forefront of AI advancements by reviewing cutting-edge research and integrating relevant findings into our agent framework.

Requirements

We're seeking:

• Minimum 6 years in software development or machine learning.

• Machine Learning Engineers with a strong background in deploying and managing ML models in production.

• Backend Engineers passionate about AI agents, with hands-on experience using LLMs in product development.

• Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs):

  • Deep understanding of Transformers architecture.

  • Proven experience working with LLMs, including insight into their capabilities and limitations.

  • Proficiency in prompt engineering.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript.

  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Langraph

  • Excellent algorithmic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Contributions to the AI community through research publications or open-source projects are a significant plus.
