Benchmark competitor hotel rates and room availability, alerting your revenue team when a rival's price crosses your threshold.
Competitor rate tracking
This records the nightly prices your chosen competitor hotels publish. On the schedule you set, a Beam agent reads the rates RateChecker returns for each property and date range, then writes them into your comparison log next to your own pricing. Movements within your normal band are stored quietly. When a rival drops or raises a rate past the threshold you approved, the agent notes the gap and alerts your revenue contact. Rates that look implausible, such as a sold out night still showing a price, are flagged and routed to a person before anyone acts on the number.
Availability monitoring
This follows whether competitor hotels still have rooms open for the dates you care about. The agent reads availability from RateChecker on your cadence and updates each property's status in your log. When a competitor sells out or reopens inventory on a key date, it records the shift and notifies your team so pricing can respond. Gaps in the data, such as a property that stops reporting, are marked rather than assumed to mean anything. Persistent blank results or feeds that fail to load are routed to a person, since the agent will not read intent into missing numbers.
Rate change alerts
This judges when a pricing move is worth a message. Once the agent detects a competitor rate crossing the size or speed rule you set, it composes an alert with the old and new price, the affected date, and the property, then sends it to the channel you named. Small repeated wobbles on one hotel can be grouped so your inbox stays readable. When several rivals move at once or a pattern breaks your rules, the agent escalates the whole picture to a person to judge, rather than firing a stream of separate notices at your team.
