Book field service jobs in Workiz, reading job and customer records and writing schedule updates back, automating dispatch work like assigning technicians as calls arrive.
Job scheduling and dispatch
Workiz holds field jobs with their times, locations, and assigned technicians. When a new job comes in, a Beam agent reads the request and current schedule, applies your rule for which tech fits the trade, area, and time slot, and writes the booking and assignment back so the day fills sensibly. It shuffles routine slots as calls arrive. Jobs that clash with an existing appointment, or that need a skill no available tech has, are routed to a dispatcher who decides whom to send rather than leaving the agent to force a fit.
Customer records
Workiz keeps a history of each customer, their properties, and past service calls. A Beam agent reads incoming contact details, applies your rule for matching a caller to an existing record and filling required fields, and writes a clean, deduplicated record back. It attaches the new job to the right customer and property. Calls that seem to match more than one existing customer, or that carry conflicting address details, are routed to an office staffer, who confirms the identity before the record is saved so service history stays accurate.
Estimates and invoices
Workiz produces estimates for jobs and turns completed work into invoices. A Beam agent reads the job's line items and labor, applies your rule for standard pricing and approved discounts, and writes a draft estimate or invoice back onto the job. It issues routine invoices once work is marked complete. Estimates above your approval threshold, or jobs where parts and labor do not line up with the original quote, are routed to an owner or manager who checks the figures before the customer is billed.
