Record leads and deals in Workbooks CRM, reading account records and writing updates back, automating pipeline work like moving opportunities as stages change.
Lead and contact records
Workbooks stores leads, contacts, and the organizations they belong to. When a new lead arrives, a Beam agent reads the incoming details, applies your rule for deduplication and required fields, and writes a clean record back, joining it with an existing account where one already exists. It fills gaps from connected sources where permissions allow. Leads that appear to duplicate a major account, or that arrive with conflicting company details, are routed to a sales operations person, who decides how the records should be merged before anything is overwritten.
Sales pipeline stages
Workbooks follows each opportunity through defined pipeline stages toward a close. A Beam agent reads activity on a deal, applies your rule for what evidence justifies a stage change, and writes the updated stage and next step back onto the opportunity. It keeps forecasts honest by moving deals only when the criteria are met. Opportunities that jump in value, stall well past their expected close, or show mixed signals about where they stand are routed to a sales manager, who sets the real stage rather than trusting an automatic guess.
Quotes and orders
Workbooks generates quotes and turns accepted ones into orders. A Beam agent reads an opportunity's products and pricing, applies your rule for approved discounts and terms, and writes a draft quote back onto the record ready for review. Once a quote is accepted, it updates the order status and linked fields. Quotes that apply a discount beyond your policy, or orders that would commit stock the account cannot yet cover, are routed to a finance or sales lead who approves the terms before the document reaches the customer.
