Admit guests from Waitwhile queues and waitlists, automating front-desk work like texting the next party when a spot opens.
Waitlist entries
A Waitwhile waitlist holds each party's name, size, and wait time. When a guest joins from your site or a kiosk, a Beam agent reads the new entry, applies your seating rule, and messages the party when a table frees up. It can reorder the list by reservation priority and note no-shows on the record. Parties with special requests, group sizes past your threshold, or repeated missed calls get flagged for a host, so a person decides whether to hold, reseat, or remove them from the queue.
Queue notifications
Waitwhile sends text updates as a party's turn approaches. A Beam agent watches queue position, and when someone reaches the front it fires the ready-to-seat message using your approved wording. It records delivery status and marks the guest as notified on their entry. If a number bounces, a reply looks confused, or a guest asks to postpone their turn, the agent hands the conversation to front-desk staff. Staff keep the call on borderline cases: whether to skip a slow-responding party or extend their grace window before releasing the spot.
Visit records
Each completed visit in Waitwhile logs arrival, wait duration, and party details. A Beam agent reads these closed entries and writes them to your CRM or reporting sheet, tagging repeat guests and unusually long waits. On a schedule it rolls up daily counts and average wait so managers see load without opening the app. Records that look inconsistent, such as a visit with no seat time or a duplicated party, route to a manager for a quick check before the numbers feed any downstream report.
