When a form submission lands, a Beam agent sends the number to Veriphone, reads whether it parses as valid, and applies your rule: good numbers stay on the record, malformed ones are flagged for correction. The agent writes the normalized international format back so downstream tools have a clean value. Numbers that fail validation but look like simple typos, such as a missing country code, are routed to a person who can fix and re-check them.

Carrier and line-type lookup

Beyond validity, this reveals the carrier and whether a number is mobile, landline, or VoIP. A Beam agent requests this detail when a contact is created, reads the line type, and applies your rule: mobile numbers get tagged for SMS outreach, landlines are excluded from text campaigns. It writes the carrier name and type onto the record for segmentation later. Results that come back as unknown or flagged as high-risk VoIP go to a person, who decides whether the contact should still receive messages or be held for review.

Reachability screening

Screening filters a contact list down to numbers likely to connect. On a scheduled cleanup, a Beam agent checks each number through Veriphone, reads the validity and line-type signals, and applies your approved rule to mark unreachable entries. Records that fail are updated with a reason and pulled from active calling queues, and the agent leaves a tally of how many dropped. Contacts that were reachable before but now fail are routed to a person, since a real customer's number changing is worth a human glance before removal.
