Board Card Movement

Upwave organizes work as cards moving across visual boards and columns. A Beam agent reads each card's status and, following your rules, moves finished items forward, updates due dates, and reassigns owners as work progresses. Cards missing required fields, or a move that would skip an approval column, are paused for a person to handle. The agent writes each change back to the board and records why, so the workflow reflects real progress without a manager dragging cards, while genuinely ambiguous items wait for a human decision instead of moving on a guess.

Task Assignment Updates

Every Upwave card can carry an owner, checklist, and deadline. A Beam agent reads incoming requests and assigns tasks to the right people by your workload and skill rules, then writes the owner and due date onto the card and notifies them. If a person is overloaded past an agreed limit, or a task needs a role no one available holds, the agent routes the assignment to a lead to decide. Each action is logged, so responsibilities stay clear and only the tricky staffing calls land on a manager's desk.

Risk Item Tracking

Upwave supports risk management alongside everyday project boards. A Beam agent reads risk cards, updates their status and severity as conditions change, and flags any that cross a threshold your rules define, notifying the owner to act. New risks that lack an assessment, or severe items with no mitigation plan, are escalated to a person rather than left sitting in a column. The agent keeps the register current and writes an audit trail of changes, so the team sees real exposure while humans judge the calls that need experience.
