Device state reads

Tuya connects physical devices that report state, such as power, temperature, or open and closed. A Beam agent polls the states your account exposes, compares them against the thresholds your team set, and acts where the connector permits, for example noting a reading that sits outside range. Normal readings are recorded and left alone. A device that stops reporting, returns a value the agent cannot interpret, or crosses a safety limit you defined is escalated to a person, who checks the hardware before any command is issued.

Rule-based device commands

Tuya lets approved commands reach a device, such as switching a plug or setting a mode. When a trigger fires, a schedule or a state your team tied to an action, a Beam agent reads the current device status, confirms the approved condition still holds, and issues the command where permissions allow. Commands that would affect a device marked sensitive, or that arrive while the device reports an error, are not sent automatically. The agent holds them and asks a person to confirm, keeping physical actions under human control.

Automation scene coordination

Tuya groups devices into scenes that change several settings together. A Beam agent can read which scene is active and, on an approved trigger, request a different scene where your account allows it, then record what changed. Routine day and night switches follow the rule you defined. A scene request that conflicts with a manual override someone set, or that would run outside the hours your team approved, is paused. The agent notifies the owner with the current and requested states, so a person makes the final call.
