When the API returns no match for a location or the data looks stale, the agent flags the record for a person rather than publishing an empty or outdated listing, so displayed content stays accurate to what Tripadvisor actually provides.

The Content API supplies recent review excerpts tied to a location. A Beam agent pulls the latest snippets the API permits, checks them against your display rule, and writes the approved set onto the page record. It refreshes the selection on the schedule your team chose and logs what changed. Reviews containing flagged wording, or content that falls outside Tripadvisor's display terms, are held for a moderator instead of going live automatically. This keeps social proof current while leaving anything sensitive or off-policy for a person to clear before it appears to visitors.

Rating synchronization

A Beam agent reads the current values through the API, compares them with what your site shows, and updates the stored figures when they drift. It notes the change on the record and alerts the owner when a rating drops past a threshold your team set. If the API is unreachable or returns a value that looks implausible, the agent keeps the last known good figure and routes the anomaly to a person, so a glitchy read never rewrites the rating shown on your pages.
