Budget tracking

Tick attaches a budget to every project and counts logged hours against it. A Beam agent examines the running total as entries come in, applies the threshold your team set, and flags a project that is nearing or past its budget. It updates the project note and alerts the manager with the remaining hours. When a large batch of time is logged at once, or hours land on a project that looks closed, the agent holds the alert and asks a person to confirm the entry is correct before acting on it.

Logging hours against projects

Each Tick entry records who worked, on which task, and for how long. A Beam agent reads new entries against your rules, fills missing task assignments where the mapping is clear, and updates the daily log so it stays complete. It notes any person whose day is unaccounted for and reminds them. Entries that overlap, that exceed a full day, or that reference a task not on the project are set aside for a human to correct, so the numbers a client sees are accurate.

Project profitability alerts

Tick relates logged hours to a project's rate so a team can see whether work is still profitable. A Beam agent checks the margin on a schedule, compares it to the floor your finance rule sets, and marks projects slipping toward a loss. It posts a note to the owner with the figures behind the change. Where the rate looks misconfigured, or a project mixes billable and internal time in a way the rule cannot read, the agent escalates to a person instead of raising a false alarm.
