Where an address fails validation, a merge field is empty, or the recipient sits outside the campaign's approved audience, the agent withholds the piece and routes it to a person.

A Beam agent reads new or changed contacts, applies the approved rule for who qualifies and how addresses are formatted, and adds or updates entries on the mailing list. It records the outcome so the list and your records agree. When an address cannot be verified, a contact opts out, or a duplicate appears, the agent leaves that entry out of the send and hands it to a person to resolve before the next run.

Delivery status reading

Delivery status reading pulls the progress Stannp reports for each mailed piece, such as printed, dispatched, or returned. A Beam agent reads these updates on a schedule, applies the approved rule for what each status means to the campaign, and writes the outcome back to the recipient record. This keeps a physical mailing visible alongside digital touches. Where a piece is returned undelivered, stalls longer than expected, or reports a status the rule does not cover, the agent flags it and routes the case to the responsible person.
