Video publishing

Video publishing places a new lesson file into Spotlightr and sets it up for a course. When a source file lands or a request arrives, a Beam agent reads the details attached to it, applies the approved rule for title, folder, and player settings, and completes the setup so the video is ready to embed. It writes the resulting video reference back to the course record. Where the file fails a format or length check, or the rule leaves a required setting undecided, the agent stops short of publishing and hands the video to a person to finish.

Viewing analytics

Viewing analytics reads how learners engage with a Spotlightr video, including plays and how far they watch, where the account exposes it. A Beam agent pulls these figures on a schedule, applies the approved rule for what counts as completion or a drop-off, and writes the outcome to each learner or course record. This keeps progress visible without manual checking. When a figure looks inconsistent with earlier readings, or a learner cannot be matched to a record, the agent flags the gap and leaves the interpretation to a person.

Access configuration

Access configuration controls who can view a Spotlightr video and how the player behaves. Prompted by an enrollment change or a publishing request, a Beam agent reads the audience defined on the record, applies the approved access rule, and updates the sharing or embed settings to match. It records the change so the course reflects the current audience. Where a request would open a restricted video more widely than the rule allows, or the audience is unclear, the agent holds the change and asks a person to confirm the intended access.
