Playlist curation

Playlist curation edits the tracks inside a Spotify playlist your account controls. When a trigger fires, such as a new release from a followed artist or a scheduled refresh, a Beam agent reads the current track list, applies the approved rule for what belongs, and adds or removes songs to match. It writes the updated order back to the playlist through the connector. Where a rule would remove a track a person pinned, or a candidate song sits outside the agreed genre or explicit-content setting, the agent leaves the playlist as is and asks someone to confirm.

Catalog search

Catalog search asks Spotify for tracks, albums, or artists that match a set of terms. Prompted by a request or a queued list of titles, a Beam agent reads the search terms, applies the account's matching rule, and returns the entries that fit. It records the resolved track identifiers on the request so playlist or reporting steps can use them. When several results look equally close, or nothing matches the terms cleanly, the agent avoids picking on a guess and routes the item to a person to choose the correct release.

Library and playback status

Library and playback status reads what a Spotify account has saved and what it is currently playing, where the connector and account scope allow. A Beam agent pulls this state on a schedule or on request, applies the approved rule for what to record, and writes a snapshot to the destination record. This keeps a running view of saved albums or listening activity for reporting. Where the account has not granted access to a detail, or a reading looks stale against the last snapshot, the agent notes the gap and leaves it for a person to check.
