Website Crawling

Spider fetches pages from a target site and returns cleaned, structured content ready for a model. When a crawl is requested, a Beam agent starts the job within the approved scope, reads the results, and files each page into your knowledge store. Pages that parse cleanly and match the allowed domain rule are saved. Crawls that hit an unexpected domain, return errors, or pull far more pages than the rule permits are paused and handed to an engineer, so an agent never floods your store with off-scope or broken content without a person signing off.

Content Extraction

Spider strips navigation and boilerplate to leave usable text and metadata. On each crawled page, the agent reads the extracted fields, applies a customer-approved rule on what to keep, and writes the cleaned record into the destination database. Pages matching the schema are stored and indexed. Pages where key fields come back empty, or the layout defeats extraction, are flagged for a human to inspect the source, so gaps are caught early rather than silently saved as blank records that later break a downstream model or search index.

Scheduled Recrawls

Source pages change, so knowledge needs refreshing. A Beam agent runs recrawls on an approved schedule, reads each updated page, and compares it to the stored version. Real changes update the record and notify the owning team. Pages that now redirect, return access errors, or have vanished are routed to a person rather than overwritten or deleted automatically, so a temporary outage on the source does not quietly wipe good data from your store. This keeps a knowledge base current and accurate while leaving any destructive edits firmly under human control.
