Assess Speechace pronunciation scores, read each learner's results, and write progress into your learning platform, automating tutoring work like assigning practice and escalating stalled learners.
Pronunciation Scoring
Speechace rates spoken English on pronunciation, fluency, and specific sounds. When a learner submits a recording, a Beam agent reads the returned scores, applies a customer-approved rule on passing thresholds, and updates the learner's record in your platform. Passing attempts unlock the next lesson automatically. Low scores on target sounds assign extra practice and notify the tutor. Recordings with background noise or a mismatched prompt, where the score is unreliable, are set aside for a human to re-check rather than counted, so a learner is not held back by a faulty reading of bad audio.
Fluency Assessment
Beyond single words, Speechace gauges pace, pausing, and overall fluency. On each graded submission, the agent reads the fluency metrics, checks them against an approved progression rule, and writes the result to the learner's profile. Steady improvement advances the learner to harder material. A plateau across several attempts flags the case for a tutor to intervene. Results that swing wildly, hinting at an inconsistent recording rather than real ability, are routed to an instructor for judgment, keeping placement decisions based on a fair picture instead of one noisy score.
Learner Progress Tracking
Speechace results accumulate into a picture of each learner over time. A Beam agent reads new scores as they arrive, applies a rule on milestones and streaks, and updates the progress dashboard and the learner's record. Hitting a milestone triggers a congratulations message and the next module. Learners who stall or stop submitting past an agreed gap are flagged for a coach to reach out. Edge cases, like a learner whose scores jumped suspiciously fast, are handed to staff to confirm before certificates or credits are issued on the account.
