Irradiance forecast retrieval

Solcast provides solar irradiance and PV power forecasts for locations worldwide. A Beam agent reads the forecast for each site you track and, following your approved rule, updates the record or dashboard that planning depends on with the latest figures. Forecasts refresh on the schedule you set so downstream decisions use current data. When Solcast returns a gap for a site, a value far outside the expected range, or a location the connector cannot resolve, the agent notes the gap and alerts a person rather than feeding questionable numbers into planning views.

Low-generation day alerts

Solcast forecasts show when a site's expected solar output will be low. A Beam agent reads the coming days' figures and, applying your threshold rule, marks dates where generation falls below what operations need and notifies the responsible team in advance. Normal days pass without noise. When a forecast swings sharply from one run to the next, or a critical site shows an extended low-output stretch, the agent escalates it to a person so a scheduling or backup decision can be made rather than left to an automatic rule alone.

PV power data feeds

Solcast estimates actual and forecast PV power for a system's configuration. A Beam agent reads these figures and, following your rule, writes them into the analytics store or report where your team compares expected against real output. The feed keeps performance views current without manual downloads. When the connector returns an authentication error, a site's configuration looks wrong, or values contradict metered readings by more than your tolerance, the agent stops writing and notifies an analyst, so a bad feed does not quietly corrupt the numbers a decision relies on.
