Asset check-in and check-out

Snipe-IT records hardware assets and who holds them. When an onboarding or return event occurs, a Beam agent reads the asset list and employee record, applies your approved rule, and checks a device out to a new hire or back in when someone leaves, updating the asset's status and owner. The employee record notes what they hold. When a requested asset is already assigned, missing from inventory, or of a type your rule restricts to certain roles, the agent leaves it unassigned and asks IT to confirm before the record changes.

License seat allocation

Snipe-IT stores software licenses and the seats assigned from each one. A Beam agent reads seat usage against a purchased license and, following your rule, assigns a free seat to a user who needs the software or reclaims one when a person leaves. The license record stays current so counts are accurate. When a license runs out of seats, is close to its limit, or a request would breach the terms your rule enforces, the agent alerts the IT owner rather than over-allocating, so compliance with the purchased count is kept intact.

Warranty expiry alerts

Each asset in Snipe-IT can carry a warranty or maintenance end date. A Beam agent reads these dates on a schedule and, applying your rule, marks assets whose warranty is near expiry and notifies the IT owner in time to renew or replace them. Upcoming dates roll into a view so nothing lapses unnoticed. When an asset shows a missing or clearly wrong date, or a high-value device is already past warranty, the agent flags it for a person to check rather than acting on data it cannot trust.
