Broadcast bulk texts and read delivery reports in SMSTools, automating outreach work like notifying opted-in contacts and recording their replies.
Bulk campaign broadcasts
SMSTools sends the same text to large opted-in lists at low cost. When a Beam agent detects a new campaign segment or a scheduled send time, it reads the recipient list and message template, applies the approved sending rule such as respecting opt-out flags and quiet hours, and dispatches the batch through the connector. Delivery counts and failures come back into your records automatically. If a segment contains contacts with missing consent, or a message exceeds the length your policy allows, the agent holds the send and routes it to a marketer for a decision.
Inbound reply handling
Subscribers often text back to a campaign, and SMSTools captures those inbound messages. A Beam agent reads each reply as it arrives, matches it to the originating contact, and applies your rule set: stop keywords mark the subscriber unsubscribed, simple confirmations get a templated acknowledgement, and interested replies are noted on the record. The agent notifies the owning rep when a reply signals intent. Messages that are ambiguous, contain a complaint, or mention anything the rule set does not cover are forwarded to a person rather than answered automatically by the agent.
Delivery receipt updates
Carriers return a status for every text: delivered, failed, or rejected. SMSTools records these receipts, and a Beam agent reads them shortly after each send. Following your approved rule, it marks each contact record with the outcome, retries a soft failure once where the connector permits, and counts hard failures against the campaign. When bounce rates on a list climb past the threshold you set, the agent alerts the campaign owner so the list can be cleaned. Numbers that fail repeatedly are flagged for human review instead of being retried indefinitely by the agent.
