Place voice calls and text messages through SignalWire and read their delivery results, covering routine outbound notifications where permissions allow.
Programmable voice calls
SignalWire places and receives phone calls through its voice API. A Beam agent triggers on an event such as a booking or an overdue task, reads the contact details from your record, and starts a call using the script and calling hours your team approved. It writes the call outcome back to the record. When a number is invalid, a call fails repeatedly, or the contact falls outside approved calling windows, the agent stops trying and flags the contact for a person to follow up by another channel instead.
SMS messaging
SignalWire sends and receives text messages through its messaging API. A Beam agent reads a trigger such as an appointment or a status change, checks the contact has agreed to texts, and messages them using the approved template. Replies are read back and attached to the contact record. If a reply needs a real answer, a number bounces, or a contact asks to stop, the agent records the request and hands the conversation to a person, so consent and anything sensitive stay under human control.
Delivery status logging
Every message and call returns a delivery or completion status. A Beam agent reads these results as they arrive, matches each to the outbound record it came from, and updates the record with delivered, failed, or no-answer. When failures cluster around one number range or time window, the agent notes the pattern and alerts the team rather than continuing to send. It does not change routing or retry rules on its own, leaving those telecom decisions to a person who can see the wider picture.
