Spreadsheet-style data exploration

Sigma presents cloud warehouse data in a familiar spreadsheet grid. A Beam agent opens a workbook on a schedule, reads the current figures, and compares them against the thresholds your team defined. When a metric crosses a limit, the agent writes a note or updates a status field in the connected record and alerts the owner. Where a result looks inconsistent with recent history, or a data source has not refreshed, the agent holds off on any downstream action and asks an analyst to confirm the numbers before they are used elsewhere.

Workbook value updates

Some Sigma workbooks accept input values that drive calculations. A Beam agent reads the input a workflow provides, applies the approved rule for which cells may change, and writes the values into the workbook so the results recalculate. It records what it changed and when. If an input falls outside the accepted range, or would overwrite a field your team marked as protected, the agent stops and passes the case to an analyst, so no calculation is driven by a value nobody has checked first.

Scheduled metric alerts

Sigma workbooks hold metrics that teams watch closely. A Beam agent reads named metrics at set intervals, matches each against the target your team approved, and updates a dashboard record or sends a summary when figures move. Readings that swing sharply, or that depend on a source flagged as stale, are not sent as routine updates; instead the agent notes the concern and asks a person to review. This keeps confident alerts flowing while genuinely unusual movements always reach a human before conclusions are drawn.
