Render data-driven videos from templates and read their processing status, covering repetitive video jobs where the connector and permissions allow.
Template-based video rendering
Shotstack builds finished videos from templates combined with data such as names, prices, or images. A Beam agent triggers when a new data row is ready, reads the fields, and submits a render request using the template and merge rules your team approved. Once the video is ready, the agent writes its file location back to the source record. If required fields are missing, or a value falls outside the approved format, the agent holds the render and asks a person to complete or correct the data before the video is produced.
Render status tracking
Each video render moves through queued, processing, and completed states. A Beam agent reads the current status of jobs it has submitted, updates the matching record as each one progresses, and marks the asset ready once rendering finishes. When a render fails, stalls well beyond its usual time, or returns an error code, the agent records the failure and notifies the producer with the job details. It does not resubmit a large batch on its own, leaving retry decisions to a person who can check the underlying data first.
Bulk video generation
Shotstack can produce thousands of personalized videos from a single template. A Beam agent reads a batch of data rows, checks each against the approved rules for completeness, and queues renders for the rows that pass. It writes each finished video back to its owner record and keeps a running tally of the batch. Rows that fail validation, or a batch larger than the agreed limit, are set aside and raised with a person, so no oversized or malformed job is sent for rendering without a human signing off first.
