Automatic image compression

ShortPixel reduces image file size while keeping the picture visually close to the original. A Beam agent triggers when a new image is added to a monitored folder or content record, reads the file, and sends it for compression at the quality level your team approved. The agent writes the smaller version back and records the bytes saved. When compression would drop quality below the agreed threshold, or the file type is not supported, the agent skips it and flags the image for a designer to handle manually rather than shipping a degraded asset.

Responsive resizing

Large source images often need smaller dimensions for different page layouts. A Beam agent reads an incoming image and its target sizes from your content record, then requests resized copies at the dimensions your team defined. It writes each variant back alongside the original and links them to the page that will use them. If a requested dimension would stretch or crop the image past the approved limits, the agent stops, keeps the original in place, and notifies the content owner so a human can decide on the right crop before publication.

CDN delivery checks

Compressed images are served from a content delivery network so pages load faster. A Beam agent reads the delivery status of images referenced on a page, confirms each one resolves through the CDN, and updates the page record with the result. When an image fails to load, returns an error, or is still serving an uncompressed copy, the agent records the gap and alerts the web team. It does not swap URLs or change the CDN configuration on its own, leaving those decisions to a person who owns the site.
