Create and dispatch deliveries

Shipday turns an order into a delivery assigned to a driver. A Beam agent creates deliveries from an incoming order, sets pickup and drop-off details, and assigns or requests a driver by your rules. It can batch multiple orders into a route where that fits and update delivery details when an order changes before pickup. Assignments that need judgment, such as an order outside your service area, are routed to dispatch rather than forced through, keeping edge cases with a person.

Track order and driver status

Every delivery moves through states from assigned to picked up to delivered. A Beam agent reads those status updates and driver location events, records progress against the order, and notifies the right people when a milestone is reached, for example confirming pickup to a customer or flagging a delivery running late. It keeps the order system and Shipday consistent, so status is not tracked by hand across two tools.

Handle delivery exceptions

Deliveries fail for real reasons: a customer is not home, an address is wrong, or a driver cancels. A Beam agent detects these exception states, applies the rule you approved, such as retrying, reassigning, or refunding, and routes anything outside that rule to dispatch with the full context attached. This keeps failed drops from sitting unnoticed while a person handles only the cases that genuinely need a decision.
