It notifies you when something new fits your criteria. Shaders whose metadata is incomplete, or entries that match a tag your rule handles loosely, are set aside for a person, who confirms whether the shader belongs in your collection before the agent files it, so your catalog stays accurate rather than filling with near matches.

New post alerts

When a followed author publishes a shader on Shadertoy, it appears in the public listing. A Beam agent watches for new entries, reads the post details, and applies your rule for who should hear about it. Matching posts trigger a notification to the channel or person you name, with the title and link. Posts that sit outside your topic rules, or ones the agent cannot clearly attribute to a followed author, route to a person, who decides whether the shader is worth sharing before any alert goes out to your wider audience.

Engagement metric logging

Each shader on Shadertoy carries counts like views and likes that change over time. A Beam agent reads those numbers on a schedule, applies your rule for what a meaningful change looks like, and records the day's figures against the last. It notifies the owner when a shader crosses a threshold you set. Readings that jump in a way that looks unlike normal traffic, or shaders whose stats stop updating, go to a person, who checks whether the change is real before the record is trusted and reported onward.
