Shipping label creation

Sendcloud creates shipping labels for the parcels an online store sends. A Beam agent reads an order ready to ship, applies your rule for carrier, service, and destination, and generates the label through the connector where the address and parcel check out. It attaches the label to the order and marks it ready. Shipments to unusual addresses, across borders, or for high-value goods are routed to a person to confirm before a label is made. Routine domestic labels are prepared on their own, so warehouse staff avoid setting up each shipment one order at a time.

Tracking and status updates

Sendcloud follows each parcel from dispatch to delivery. A Beam agent reads tracking events as carriers report them, applies your rule for which milestones matter, and updates the order to show it shipped, in transit, or delivered. It notes the event and notifies the customer where your rule calls for it. Parcels that stall, go missing, or return to sender are flagged for a person to chase with the carrier. Routine tracking upkeep runs as events arrive, so customers and staff see accurate delivery status without anyone checking each carrier site by hand.

Carrier and method selection

Sendcloud offers several carriers and services for a given shipment. A Beam agent reads an order's weight, destination, and any promised delivery date, applies your rule for cost and speed trade-offs, and picks the carrier and method that fit. It records the choice on the order. Shipments where no option meets the promise, or that involve restricted goods, are held for a person to decide. Routine selections are made as orders come through, so parcels go out on a sensible service without staff weighing carrier options for every single order themselves.
