Base row updates

SeaTable stores structured rows across bases and tables like a database with a spreadsheet view. A Beam agent reads rows on a trigger, applies your approved rule, and writes changes back to the matching record. Fields such as status, owner, or date are updated in place where the connector and permissions allow. When a row is missing a value the rule needs, or two records could match the same input, the agent does not overwrite blindly; it flags the row for a person, who resolves which record is correct before any update is committed.

Task status and ownership

SeaTable often holds tasks, assets, and projects for a team. A Beam agent watches for rows that meet your condition, reads their fields, and applies your rule to set status or assign an owner. It updates the row and can notify the new owner through your connected channel. When a task lacks the detail the rule needs to route it, or fits more than one owner, the agent leaves it unassigned and flags a person, so a real decision stands behind ownership rather than an automated guess placing work on the wrong desk.

Linked record upkeep

SeaTable connects rows across tables through links between records. A Beam agent reads a changed row, applies your rule, and updates the linked entries so related tables stay consistent. Where a link clearly follows from your rule, the agent writes it and notes the change. When a link is ambiguous, or the related record does not exist yet, the agent holds the update and notifies a person, who decides whether to build the missing record or correct the reference, keeping the relationships in your bases trustworthy instead of quietly attaching rows to the wrong parent.
