Feed Monitoring

An RSS feed lists new items from a source as they publish. A Beam agent checks subscribed feeds on a schedule, reads each new item's title, link, and summary, and applies your approved rules for which topics or sources matter. Matching items are passed to your chosen channel or record. Items from unexpected sources, or entries with missing or malformed fields, are set aside for a person to review. The agent notes which feeds it checked and notifies the owner when a watched source goes quiet for too long.

Item Filtering

Feed items vary in relevance. The agent reads incoming entries, applies your keyword, category, or author rules, and keeps only the items that clear them. Duplicates and previously seen links are removed under suppression rules you set. Items that partly match, or that touch sensitive subjects you flagged, are routed to a person to decide before they move on. The agent records why each item was kept or dropped, so the team can audit its choices and adjust the rules over time as sources change.

Content Distribution

Filtered feed items can feed downstream channels. When items clear your rules, the agent formats each entry and posts it to the destination you approved, such as a team channel or content queue. It applies your timing and grouping rules so posts stay orderly. Entries that fail formatting, link to broken pages, or exceed your volume limits are held for a person to check. The agent notifies the owner once a batch is distributed and logs every item it shared for later reference, so the team can always see what reached each channel and when.
