Real-Time Data Ingestion

Rockset continuously ingests records from sources like DynamoDB, Kafka, and S3 into indexed collections. A Beam agent watches for ingestion lag or failed loads, reads the collection status, and applies your approved thresholds for freshness. When data falls behind, the agent notifies the responsible engineer and records the incident. Where the connector and account permissions allow it, the agent can start a documented recheck. Anomalies outside your defined thresholds, or unfamiliar source errors, are escalated to a person rather than resolved on their own, so nobody acts on data that looks wrong.

SQL Query APIs

Rockset exposes queries as REST endpoints that return live results. The agent calls an approved query API on a schedule or event, reads the returned rows, and applies your rule for what counts as an exception, such as a metric crossing a limit. Matching results are written into your notification channel or a downstream record. Queries that error, return empty where data is expected, or exceed expected ranges are routed to an analyst to interpret. The agent documents each run so results stay auditable for the whole team afterward.

Live Dashboard Feeds

Dashboards built on Rockset update as new data lands. The agent reads dashboard-backed metrics through approved endpoints, compares them against your stated targets, and posts a summary to the team when figures shift meaningfully. Where permissions allow, it annotates the record with the change it saw. Sudden swings, missing series, or numbers that contradict other sources are handed to a person to verify before anyone acts on them. The agent keeps a log of which metrics moved and notifies the owner assigned to that dashboard.
