Link Roam Research notes and pages, automating knowledge work like capturing daily entries and building backlinks between topics.
Daily note capture
Roam records thinking in dated daily notes that build over time. A Beam agent can append structured entries to the right daily note, reading an incoming item, like a meeting summary or a saved idea, and placing it under the heading your setup expects. It tags the entry and links people or projects mentioned so the note joins the wider graph. Entries it cannot confidently attribute, or ones with sensitive content your rules mark for review, are drafted and left for you to place, keeping the automatic writes limited to clear, low-risk additions.
Backlink building
Roam's value comes from bidirectional links between related blocks and pages. A Beam agent reads a new note, spots names, terms, and projects that already exist as pages, and applies your linking rules to connect them, so a topic gathers its references automatically. It updates the pages and leaves the backlinks in place for you to explore. Ambiguous mentions, where a term could point to two different pages, are surfaced as suggestions rather than linked outright, so a person decides the connection and the graph stays trustworthy instead of cluttered with wrong links.
Block reference lookups
Individual Roam blocks can be referenced and reused across pages. A Beam agent answers a lookup by reading the graph for blocks matching a query, following the references and their context, and returning the passages that fit with links back to the source. It respects the scope your rules allow, so private daily pages stay out of a shared answer. Requests that are broad or touch pages marked sensitive are narrowed or handed to you, rather than pulling large swaths of personal notes into a response you did not fully intend.
