Transcription job submission

Rev turns audio and video into transcripts using people and software together. A Beam agent reads a request to transcribe a file, checks the source and options against your rule, and submits the job through the connector where everything is in order. It records the job and its expected turnaround. Files that are unusually long, tagged confidential, or of unclear quality are held for a person to approve before submission. Routine, in-policy jobs are sent on their own, so teams get their recordings transcribed without someone uploading each file and choosing settings by hand every time.

Caption and subtitle delivery

Rev produces captions and subtitles for video content. A Beam agent watches for finished caption jobs, reads the returned files, and applies your rule for where each should go and how it should be named. It places the file against the right video record and notifies the owner it is ready. Captions for sensitive footage, or files that come back flagged for accuracy, are routed to a person to check before use. Routine caption delivery is handled on its own, so video teams find finished subtitle files in place rather than chasing each job to completion themselves.

Rev returns finished transcripts once a job is done. A Beam agent reads each completed transcript, applies your rule for destination, naming, and access, and stores it in the right system with the correct details. It links the transcript to the original request and marks the job done. Transcripts of confidential recordings, or files whose details do not match the request, are set aside for a person to place. Routine transcripts land where they belong on their own, so staff stop moving finished files between folders and can use the text as soon as it is ready.
