Subscription lifecycle handling

ReCharge holds each customer's plan: what they get, how often, and when the next charge falls. A Beam agent reads changes a customer requests, a skip, a swap, or a pause, and applies the ones your rules cover, writing the updated plan back to ReCharge. It confirms the change on the record so support and fulfillment see it. Requests that fall outside policy, like a refund or an out-of-cycle change, are routed to a person to approve. The agent works only within the permissions your ReCharge connection grants and logs each plan edit so billing stays traceable.

Failed payment recovery

Recurring charges sometimes decline when a card expires or funds fall short. A Beam agent reads each failed charge, applies the retry schedule your team approves, and drafts a reminder asking the customer to update their payment detail. Successful retries are marked and the subscription resumed; the record is refreshed either way. Customers who fail repeatedly, or who ask to cancel, are handed to a person rather than chased on. The agent never issues a refund or waives a charge on its own judgment, and it keeps a clear log of every retry and message for the finance team.

Churn and cancellation signals

Pauses, skips, and cancellations hint that a subscriber may be drifting away. A Beam agent reads these signals against the thresholds you set and tags at-risk customers, drafting a retention offer for approval where your rules allow one. It writes the risk note to the record so the team sees who needs attention. A customer who explicitly cancels, or who raises a complaint, is routed to a person rather than met with more automation. The agent surfaces the pattern and prepares the outreach, but the decision to make an exception always stays with your team.
