Highlight sync and export

Readwise gathers highlights from ebooks and articles into one library. A Beam agent reads new highlights as they arrive, applies the sorting rules your team approves, and exports them to the notes app or document you name, grouped by book, author, or topic. It writes back which highlights have already been exported so none repeat. Highlights that carry no source, or that land in a category the rules do not cover, are set aside for a person to place. The agent stays within the permissions your Readwise connection grants and keeps a record of every export it makes.

Daily review resurfacing

Readwise resurfaces a rotating set of old highlights each day for review. A Beam agent reads the day's set, applies your rules to pick the ones worth acting on, and drafts a short digest to the channel or inbox your team chooses. When a resurfaced highlight ties to an open task or project, the agent links it so the context is not lost. Highlights that touch sensitive material, or that the agent cannot match to a clear source, are flagged for a person to read first. Nothing leaves Readwise beyond what your rules and permissions allow.

Tagging and organization

Highlights gain value when they are tagged and grouped. A Beam agent reads each new highlight, infers a topic against the tag scheme your team maintains, and writes the tag back to Readwise. It can also collect related highlights into a themed document on the cadence you set. When a highlight fits several themes or none, the agent asks a person rather than guessing, so the library stays trustworthy. Every tag it applies follows the rules you approved, and the agent records its choices so the scheme stays consistent as the library grows.
