Tally donations and donor records inside Raisely, reading and writing campaign data to automate work like thanking new supporters and fixing declined gifts.
Donation and donor records
Raisely stores each gift against a donor and a campaign. A Beam agent watches for new donations, reads the amount, donor detail, and designated campaign, then applies rules your team approves: it adds a thank-you note to the queue, tags first-time givers, and updates the running total. When a gift arrives without a matching donor, or the amount looks unusual for that campaign, the agent holds it and asks a person to confirm. Records only change where your connected account and its permissions allow, and every write is logged so the finance team can trace it later.
Campaign progress tracking
Each Raisely campaign carries a goal and a live tally toward it. A Beam agent reads progress on the schedule you choose, compares it against the target and timeline, and posts a plain update to the channel your team names. Following rules you set, it can nudge organizers when a campaign lags or highlight one that is close to its goal. Decisions that change a goal, extend a deadline, or move money between campaigns are never made by the agent; those go to a person, who approves the adjustment before the agent records it in Raisely.
Failed and recurring gift recovery
Recurring donations sometimes fail when a card expires or a charge is declined. A Beam agent reads the failed payment record, applies the retry and reminder rules your team approves, and drafts a gentle note asking the donor to update their details. Successful recoveries are marked and the donor record refreshed. Gifts that keep failing, or donors who ask to cancel, are routed to a person rather than chased automatically. The agent stays within the payment permissions your Raisely connection grants and leaves a clear trail of what it attempted and when.
