Job card orchestration

Qntrl moves work through defined stages as job cards, and a Beam agent advances those cards under your rules. When a card enters a stage the agent owns, it reads the card fields, applies the criteria you set, and either moves the card to the next stage or fills the outputs that stage requires. Straightforward cards progress without a pause. A card with conflicting inputs, a missing approval, or a value outside the range your rule allows is left in place and assigned to the right person, so the exception gets human judgment before the workflow continues.

Approval routing

Qntrl routes items to approvers as a process demands, and a Beam agent handles the routine decisions around them. On an approval step, the agent reads the request and its supporting fields, checks them against your policy, and records an approval or sends the item onward when everything is within the limits you defined. Clear-cut cases clear quickly. Anything above a threshold, missing documentation, or flagged by a policy rule is routed to the named human approver with the details gathered, so people still own the calls that carry real risk.

Cross-team handoffs

Qntrl connects steps that span teams, and a Beam agent keeps handoffs from stalling between them. As a card reaches a boundary between two teams, the agent reads the fields the next team needs, confirms they are complete, and passes the card along with a note of what changed. Handoffs with everything in order move immediately. One that arrives missing a required field, or that has sat idle past the time your rule allows, is escalated to a coordinator, so a stuck item gets attention instead of quietly aging in a queue.
