Priority alert dispatch
Pushover sends push notifications to registered devices with a short message and title, and a Beam agent chooses which events deserve one. Reading a signal from a monitor, script, or app, the agent checks it against your alert rules and posts a notification to the right user or group when the rule fires. Everyday alerts go out on their own. An event your rules mark as critical, or one that would page a whole on-call group at night, is first shown to a person to approve, so high-impact alerts always carry human sign-off.
Device and group targeting
Pushover organizes recipients into users and groups, and a Beam agent routes each alert to the correct target. On a new event, the agent reads its type and severity, looks up the matching recipient in your mapping, and posts the notification only to the devices that rule names. Standard routing runs untouched. When the mapping has no entry for an event, or points at a group that has changed, the agent holds the alert and asks a person where it should go, so a message is never blasted to the wrong audience by default.
Acknowledgement tracking
Pushover can require a recipient to acknowledge an urgent alert, and a Beam agent watches those responses. After posting a notification that expects acknowledgement, the agent reads whether it was confirmed within your window and closes the loop on the source record when it is. If no one acknowledges in time, the agent follows your escalation rule and notifies the next person or group in line. A repeated failure to acknowledge across several alerts is raised to a manager, since a silent on-call chain is a problem a human should address.
