Run and monitor workflow instances

Process Street runs procedures as workflow instances built from a template. A Beam agent starts a run when a trigger fires, such as a new client, ticket, or scheduled date, then reads the state of each task as work progresses. It records what is complete, pending, or overdue and updates the run as conditions are met. When a run stalls or a required input is missing, the agent routes the case to the owner instead of forcing it forward, so a person stays in control of anything unusual.

Assign steps and manage due dates

Each task in a run has an assignee and a due date. A Beam agent sets or changes assignees by your rules, for example routing an approval to the right manager or reassigning when someone is out, and shifts due dates as upstream steps finish. It can also read current assignments to answer who owns what and what is due next. The agent applies only the assignment and scheduling rules you approve, and flags conflicts, such as an unassigned step on an active run, for a person to resolve.

Apply conditional logic and approvals

Process Street supports conditional logic that shows or requires tasks based on earlier answers, plus stop tasks and approval steps that hold a run until sign-off. A Beam agent reads those conditions and current answers, completes the steps it is permitted to, and submits items into an approval where the workflow calls for one. It does not override a stop task or approve on a person's behalf: when a run reaches a decision that needs judgment, the agent prepares the context and routes it to the approver.
