Plate Read Capture

Plate Recognizer returns a plate number, region, and confidence score for each vehicle image. A Beam agent receives every read, checks the confidence against the threshold you set, and when it clears, writes the plate, timestamp, and camera location into your access or visitor log. It can match the plate to a known list and mark the entry accordingly. Low-confidence reads, unreadable plates, or images the camera captured poorly are set aside for a person to confirm, so no gate or record acts on a guess the agent cannot stand behind.

Watchlist Matching

Many sites keep lists of permitted, banned, or expected vehicles. A Beam agent compares each Plate Recognizer read against the list you maintain, and on a match applies your rule: open a barrier record, note an authorized arrival, or raise an alert for a flagged plate. It writes the result and notifies the right channel. Near-matches, plates on a restricted list, or reads that touch a security flag are escalated to staff with the image and score attached, so a human makes the call before any access or enforcement action is taken.

Entry and Exit Logging

Paired cameras let Plate Recognizer register when a vehicle enters and later leaves. A Beam agent ties the two reads together, calculates the duration, and updates the parking, dwell, or visit record your operation keeps. It can apply time-based rules, such as noting an overstay or closing a session. Mismatched pairs, a plate that exits without an entry, or durations outside the ranges you expect are flagged to an operator rather than billed or closed automatically. The person reviews the paired images the agent collected and corrects the record.
