Account and balance reads

With a user's permission, a Beam agent reads account and balance data through Plaid at the moment a workflow needs it. It applies your approved rule to record balances, confirm an account is active, or check available funds, then writes the result into the record that triggered the request. Clear, verified reads update automatically. A returned balance that looks stale, an account in an unusual state, or a connection that needs the user to reauthenticate is routed to a person, so a human handles the exception before anything downstream relies on questionable numbers to make a decision.

Transaction history retrieval

Underwriting and reconciliation need real transaction data. On a triggering event, the agent gathers the permitted transaction history from Plaid, reads it, and applies your rule to categorize entries, flag patterns, or total a period into the record. Clean histories are summarized and filed automatically. Transactions that fail categorization, suggest fraud, or fall outside the ranges your rule expects are set aside, and the agent notifies a reviewer with the entries attached, so a person makes the judgment call rather than a rule quietly labeling money movements that it does not actually understand.

Account ownership checks

Onboarding often hinges on confirming who owns an account. When a new user connects through Plaid, the agent reads the account ownership and identity details the connection returns, applies your approved matching rule against your records, and writes a pass or hold decision. Clear name and account matches move onboarding forward on their own. A mismatch, a partial match, or missing identity data stops the automatic path, and the agent hands the case to a compliance reviewer with both sides shown, so a person owns the decision on any account whose owner cannot be cleanly confirmed.
