When a new image enters your library, the agent submits it to PicDefense, reads the match results, and applies your rule for what counts as a licensing risk. Images that come back clean get marked usable and released to the requesting team. Ones that match a protected source, or return an uncertain result, go to a person for a licensing call before anything publishes. The agent records each scan verdict against the asset so a later audit can see exactly what PicDefense reported and when the decision around it was made.

Usage rights filing

For every image PicDefense clears, the agent reads the reported source and any license note, then files those rights details on the asset record your team works from. Assets with a documented license update quietly and become available for reuse. Images whose rights look partial, expired, or contradictory go to legal for review. The agent notifies the asset owner when a clearance completes and holds anything unresolved out of circulation. It never marks an image free to use on its own when the rights evidence is thin or missing.

Published-image rescanning

On a recurring scan, the agent resubmits your published images to PicDefense and reads whether any now match a copyright claim. Fresh matches raise an alert to the owner with the source PicDefense identified and the page where the image appears. Clear cases follow your rule to withdraw the asset and note the reason; contested or high-visibility matches go to a person before anything comes down. The agent keeps a dated record of every match and action so compliance can show what was found and how the team responded.
