Ship OTO orders through the right carrier, reading and updating each order record while automating label creation and delivery tracking.
Carrier selection
OTO shops an order across connected carriers to find a fitting shipping option, and a Beam agent runs that choice on your terms. When an order is ready, the agent reads its weight, destination, and service level, then picks the carrier using the rule your logistics team approved, whether that favors cost, speed, or a preferred partner. The selection is written onto the order. Shipments to a restricted region, over a weight the chosen service allows, or with no carrier returning a rate are handed to a dispatcher, who decides how to move the parcel instead.
Shipping label creation
Once a carrier is chosen, OTO produces the shipping label and documents for the parcel, and a Beam agent handles that step end to end. On a confirmed order, the agent reads the address and package details, requests the label per your rule, and files the tracking number back onto the order so the buyer can be notified. Orders with an incomplete address, a customs field left blank for a cross-border parcel, or a value that needs a declaration are paused for a person, because a wrong label means a delayed or returned shipment.
Delivery status updates
OTO collects tracking events from carriers as a parcel travels, and a Beam agent keeps everyone informed without manual checking. As each event arrives, the agent reads it, writes the latest status onto the order, and notifies the customer where your rule calls for it. Deliveries stuck at one scan too long, marked as failed, or flagged for a return are raised to a support rep with the full history attached. The agent leaves refunds, reships, and goodwill gestures to a person, since those decisions weigh cost against keeping the customer happy.
