Record project hours and absence entries, then adjust the timesheet and leave records so payroll and billing reflect what teams actually worked.
Automatic time entry
McTime records project hours and absences, including fully automatic recording as people work. A Beam agent reads the day's entries, applies the rules a manager approved, such as flagging gaps, overlaps, or hours booked to a closed project, and corrects or annotates the timesheet records where policy is clear. It notifies the employee when an entry needs their input. Anything that looks like a genuine dispute, a missing day, or overtime beyond a set limit routes to the manager, so the agent tidies the routine cases and leaves the judgment calls to a person.
Absence and leave handling
Teams log holidays, sick days, and other absences alongside project time. An agent reads new absence requests and entries, applies the approved leave policy, for example remaining allowance, notice periods, and blackout dates, and updates the leave records or notifies the approver when a request is clean. Balances adjust without anyone rekeying them. Requests that exceed an allowance, clash with staffing limits, or fall outside policy route to a manager for a decision. The agent handles the arithmetic and the standard approvals while a person keeps the exceptions.
Project hour evaluation
McTime evaluates recorded hours against projects so teams see where time goes. A Beam agent reads the accumulated entries on a schedule, applies the reporting rules a lead approved, such as hours by project, client, or cost center, and compiles the figures into the summary records finance expects. It notifies a lead when a project trends over its budgeted hours. Entries that cannot be mapped to a valid project, or numbers that jump unexpectedly week over week, route to a person to confirm before the figures feed billing or payroll.
