Address geocoding

Mapbox converts addresses into coordinates and coordinates back into addresses. When a new record needs a location, the agent reads the address, calls the geocoding step within your connector permissions, and writes the coordinates and normalized address onto the record, correcting obvious formatting along the way. High-confidence matches are saved automatically. When a result is low confidence, returns several candidates, or falls far from an expected area, the agent leaves the field blank and notifies the owner, who picks the right location or corrects the source address before it is used for routing.

Route and distance calculation

Mapbox calculates driving routes, distances, and travel times between points. Given an approved job, the agent reads the origin and destination, requests the route where account permissions allow it, and writes the distance and estimated time back to the record for scheduling or pricing. Standard point-to-point results are stored without review. A route that fails, crosses a restricted area, or returns a distance far outside the expected range is held and passed to a dispatcher, who checks the addresses and decides how the trip should be planned.

Map dataset updates

Mapbox datasets hold the points and features that appear on your maps, such as stores or service areas. The agent reads changes from your source system, applies your data rule, and adds, moves, or retires features so the map reflects current locations. Straightforward additions and coordinate fixes are applied directly. A feature that overlaps an existing one, sits in an unexpected place, or would remove a location still marked active is routed to the owner, who confirms the change before the map is updated for viewers.
