Donor Records

Little Green Light keeps a profile for every donor and constituent, with contact details, giving history, and relationships. A Beam agent reads incoming updates, like a new address or a gift, and keeps profiles current under rules your fundraising team approved: standardizing contact fields, linking related constituents, and flagging duplicates. It notes each change on the record. When two profiles might be the same person, or a change looks risky, the agent holds the merge and asks a fundraiser to confirm rather than combining records on its own without review.

Gift Entry

Little Green Light records donations against donors, with amount, fund, campaign, and date. A Beam agent reads new gifts from your intake source and enters them under the rules you set: assigning each to the right fund and campaign, marking recurring gifts, and totaling a donor's year-to-date giving. It writes an entry note for the finance queue. Anything unusual, like an oversized gift, an unclear designation, or a possible refund, is routed to a fundraiser or finance staffer to handle instead of being posted automatically by the agent.

Mailings and Segments

Little Green Light groups donors into segments for appeals, newsletters, and acknowledgements. A Beam agent builds and refreshes segments to your rules: pulling donors who gave this year, excluding those who opted out, and separating lapsed donors for a win-back appeal. It reports each segment's size before a mailing. Deciding what the appeal says, which segment to mail, or whether to re-engage a sensitive donor stays with your fundraising team, whom the agent notifies with the finished segment ready for a person to approve before it goes out.
