Lesson Booking Confirmation

A booking in Lessonspace ties a specific tutor, student, and time slot together for a lesson. A Beam agent checks a new booking against the tutor's existing calendar and confirms it only when the slot is genuinely free, then notifies both the tutor and student that the lesson is set. It does not offer alternate times on its own. Where a booking lands on a slot the tutor has marked unavailable for a reason not shown in the calendar, such as a last-minute personal conflict, the agent leaves the booking unconfirmed for a person to sort out directly with the tutor.

Virtual Classroom Access Links

Each lesson in Lessonspace gets its own classroom link that only the tutor and enrolled student should use. A Beam agent generates the link once a booking is confirmed and passes it to both parties ahead of the scheduled time, along with a reminder as the lesson approaches. It does not change who has access once a link is issued. If a student requests the link be shared with a parent or a second tutor, that request is routed to a person rather than granted automatically, since classroom access involves other people's privacy.

No-Show Follow-Up

When a scheduled lesson's classroom is never opened by one side, Lessonspace shows that the session went unattended. A Beam agent checks attendance a set time after a lesson was due to start and, if the student never joined, notifies the tutor and adds a note to the booking record so the missed lesson does not just disappear from view. It does not rebook the lesson or apply any cancellation fee. Repeated no-shows from the same student, or a tutor who never opens their own classroom, are flagged for a person to follow up on directly.
