Draft LaunchNotes entries from ticket data and route them to the audience segments that need them, automating release announcements.
Release Announcements
This is the customer-facing update that tells users what changed and why it matters. A Beam agent watches for a ticket marked ready to ship, gathers the relevant details from the tracker, and drafts the entry in LaunchNotes using a template the team has approved, filling in the title, summary, and any linked documentation. It leaves the draft unsent rather than putting it live. A person on the product or marketing team checks the wording, adjusts anything specific to the release, and puts it in front of customers, since customer-facing tone still needs a human read.
Audience Segments
LaunchNotes lets a team split subscribers into groups, such as customers on a certain plan or users of a specific feature, so an update reaches only the people it affects. A Beam agent checks which segment a release ticket is tagged for and adds the new entry to that segment's feed once the entry is approved for release. If a ticket has no segment tag or spans several groups, the agent leaves it unassigned and flags it for a person to sort, since deciding who should see an update is a judgment call rather than a fixed rule.
Subscriber Notifications
Once an update goes live, LaunchNotes can alert the people subscribed to that topic by email or in an app. A Beam agent checks the notification setting attached to an approved entry and confirms the alert goes out to the right subscriber list rather than everyone. It also notes which entries were sent and when, so the team has a record without checking each channel by hand. Anything unusual, like a notification meant for a small group that would otherwise reach the full list, gets routed to a person before it goes out.
