Rotate shared credentials and grant vault access through LastPass, automating password administration IT teams otherwise handle one request at a time.
Shared Password Vaults
LastPass lets a company store shared logins in vaults that only approved employees or teams can open. A Beam agent reads a request from a connected HR or ticketing system, such as a new hire joining a specific team, and grants that person access to the approved vault in LastPass according to the role they have been assigned. It records the grant against the employee's account so access is easy to trace later. Requests for access to a vault outside someone's normal role, or for a highly sensitive vault, are routed to a human to approve first.
User Provisioning and Access
LastPass Enterprise lets administrators add, suspend, or remove employee accounts and control which vaults each one can reach. A Beam agent reads a status change from a connected HR system, such as an employee leaving the company, and applies the approved rule for that event, suspending the account or removing vault access in LastPass. It notes the change against the employee record so IT has a clear record of what happened and when. Any request to restore a removed account is routed to a human rather than actioned automatically.
Password Health Reporting
LastPass scores stored passwords for weakness and reuse across a company's vaults, flagging accounts that fall short of the approved policy. A Beam agent reads this report on a set schedule and updates a shared security dashboard so IT does not have to open LastPass to check standing. When the count of weak or reused passwords for a team rises past the agreed threshold, the agent notifies the team lead rather than forcing a reset itself. A human then decides which accounts need a password change and when.
