Blocked Card Escalation

Kanbanize requires a reason whenever a card is marked blocked, so the reason sits on the card itself. A Beam agent reads newly blocked cards and, when the reason matches a known and recurring cause, such as waiting on a vendor, notifies the person responsible for clearing that type of block along with how long the card has been stuck. Reasons that do not match a known pattern, or blocks sitting far longer than usual, get routed to a person to look into directly. The agent does not unblock a card or change its reason, it only reads and routes what Kanbanize already holds.

Cycle Time Threshold Alerts

Kanbanize measures cycle time, the span a card spends moving from start to done, for every workflow step. A Beam agent reads that cycle time against the account's expected range for each step and, when a card runs noticeably longer than the range, alerts the card owner and their team lead with the step where the delay is happening. Cards still within a step's normal range are left alone, since flagging every card would bury the signal that matters. The agent does not change a workflow step or move the card, it only reports the delay for a person to act on.

Class of Service Routing

Kanbanize lets a board assign each card a class of service, such as expedite, standard, or fixed date, which sets how urgently it should move. A Beam agent reads a card's class of service alongside its current position and, for a fixed date card approaching its deadline, notifies the owner with the days remaining. For an expedite card that has sat without movement past the account's set window, the agent escalates it directly to the team lead. Standard cards without a deadline are excluded from these alerts. The agent never reclassifies a card, that judgment call stays with the person managing the board.
