WIP Limit Alerts

KanbanFlow lets a team cap how many tasks can sit in a column at once, known as a work in progress limit. A Beam agent checks column counts against those limits on a set interval and, when a column goes over, notifies the assigned teammates and the column owner with a list of the tasks involved. It does not move or reassign any task itself, since deciding what to bump or finish first is a call for the team. Columns without a configured limit are skipped entirely, so the agent only acts where the team has explicitly set a cap it should watch.

Pomodoro Time Report Flags

KanbanFlow logs each completed Pomodoro session against the task and person who ran it, building a time report per task. A Beam agent reads that report against the task's estimated time and, when logged time passes the estimate by the account's set margin, notifies the task owner and their manager with the current total. Tasks still within their estimate, or ones with no estimate set at all, are left alone since there is nothing defensible to compare against. The agent never edits a task's estimate or logged time itself, it only reports on the numbers KanbanFlow already recorded.

Stuck Task Detection

KanbanFlow shows how long a task has sat in its current column, which the account can use to spot work that has stalled. A Beam agent reads that column age for every open task and, when one sits past the account's set threshold for that column, notifies the assignee and tags the task for follow-up. Tasks in columns meant to hold work for a long time, like a backlog, are excluded from the check since sitting there is expected. The agent does not move the task or change its assignee, a person decides what happens once the flag is raised.
