Read a Japanese company's latest securities report through JP Funda and write the updated figures into the record a team already tracks it in.
Securities Report Data Retrieval
JP Funda holds the securities report data that Japanese companies file, covering figures such as financial results and disclosures tied to a company and filing period. A Beam agent requests the latest report for a company on a set schedule or when a new filing is expected, and reads the figures returned for that period. Where the data fits the expected fields and period, it is written into the record or spreadsheet a team already uses to track that company. Where a filing is missing, delayed, or returns fields outside the expected structure, the request is flagged and routed to a person to check the source filing directly.
Filing Period Comparison
Because JP Funda returns securities report data tied to a specific filing period, a Beam agent can compare a newly retrieved report against the company's previous period on file. The agent reads both periods, applies the approved threshold for what counts as a meaningful change, such as a shift in a key figure beyond a set percentage, and updates the tracked record with the new figures once the comparison is done. Changes within the approved threshold are recorded without further action. Changes beyond the threshold are flagged with both periods shown side by side and routed to an analyst first.
Multi-Company Watchlist Updates
A team tracking several Japanese companies at once needs each one's data refreshed on a similar schedule rather than checked one at a time. A Beam agent reads a watchlist of companies from wherever it is kept, requests the latest securities report for each one through JP Funda, and applies the approved rule for updating the tracked record per company once new data is confirmed. Companies with a straightforward, complete update are refreshed without a person involved. Companies where the retrieved report is incomplete, or where the company cannot be tied to an entry on the watchlist, are set aside and routed to a person to resolve.
