Award a digital badge once a course or milestone is completed in Issue Badge, applying your approved criteria and leaving disputed achievements for a person to confirm.
Milestone Based Badge Issuance
Issue Badge issues digital certificates tied to a specific achievement, such as finishing a course or passing an assessment. A Beam agent reads a completion event from a connected system, applies your approved rule for which milestone earns which badge, and issues the badge to the recipient, notifying them once it's live. It updates the recipient's record to show the badge was granted. Completions that come from an unlisted source, involve a milestone not yet mapped to a badge, or look duplicated are routed to a person to confirm before anything is issued.
Badge Authenticity Verification
Issue Badge uses blockchain records so a badge's authenticity can be confirmed independently of the issuing organization. A Beam agent reads a verification request, checks the badge record against the blockchain entry, and applies your approved rule for what counts as a valid match, then updates the requester with a confirmed or unconfirmed result. It notifies the badge holder if their credential is queried. Requests involving a badge that appears altered, expired under a policy your team has set, or missing from the blockchain record are passed to a person to investigate.
Credential Expiry and Renewal Tracking
Some badges issued through Issue Badge carry an expiry date tied to a certification period. A Beam agent reads upcoming expiry dates on a schedule, applies your approved rule for how far in advance to act, and notifies the badge holder that renewal is due, updating the record once the notice is sent. Where a renewal course is completed, it reissues the badge automatically under the approved rule. Expired badges tied to a compliance requirement, or renewals that involve a changed assessment, are routed to a person to handle rather than reissued without review.
